Botox Injection
“Sweaty foot” stands for a condition of related abnormal excessive perspiration from the feet. It might be problematic with various related complications like foot odor, athlete’s foot, and other fungal infections. It can also make shoes and socks uncomfortably wet and cause distress.
- Botox injections reduce the sweat produced in an area by blocking the signals from the nerves that make the sweat glands active. The blockage of such nerve signals to the glands may, in turn, result in either a reduction or complete stop of the sweat excretion from the glands.
- Treatments will be a series of injections directly into the skin of the soles of feet. This is usually done under local anesthesia as the sole is highly sensitive.
- Duration of Effect: Usually, effects caused as a result of Botox in the treatment of plantar hyperhidrosis are capable of lasting for several months, most of the time between 6 and 12 months. After that, the treatment can be repeated if necessary.
